Easy Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls

Makes 12 rolls

Homemade bread, especially dinner rolls, bring that special, home cooked feeling to just about any meal. These "no need to knead" rolls are actually quite simple to prepare and have a delightful, rustic flavor. If desired, brush a bit of beaten egg over the dough before baking for a rich, golden brown color.

2 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
4 tbsp gluten
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 package active dry yeast
1 cup warm skim milk
3 tbsp canola oil
1 large egg, lightly beaten

Directions
1. Mix gluten, sugar, salt, yeast, and 1/2 of the flour in a large bowl.

2. In a separte bowl mix milk, oil, and egg and beat with a fork until smooth.

3. Add egg mixture to the flour mixture.

4. Slowly add the other half of flour mixture until fully incorporated.

5. Cover with a towel and let rise for 1 hour.

6. Meanwhile, lightly grease a 12 muffin tin with oil and set aside

7. When dough has doubled in size, punch to deflate.

8. Add even amounts of dough into each cup of the prepared tin and cover with moist paper towel. Let rise for 1 more hour.

9. Preheat oven to 400 F. Bake rolls until golden brown and cooked through, 15 to 20 minutes.
